I’m so thankful for Kellin and Sean’s presence in my life. They are filled with passion and adventure, kindness and creativity, and as much crazy love for each other as you could imagine in your very happiest of dreams. Couples like Sean and Kellin are the reason I keep shooting weddings. They remind me what it means to REALLY love, and they give me hope for a future filled with adventure, passion, LAUGHTER, and let’s just be honest. . . PLENTY of really good food. ;) Enjoy!

And then, we partied.

PS. Remember Jp and Alexis’ amazing wedding (I shot it last year in Annisquam, MA)? Well, Kellin is one of Alexis’ childhood friends. Kellin and Alexis have got this magical sisterhood–more like a sacred friendship tribe (but seriously)–full of the most spectacular “women of substance” you’ve ever met in your life. I was SO EXCITED and HONORED to travel to Oahu to shoot/celebrate Kellin and Sean’s wedding. It was wonderful to see all these cherished people. . . who by some strange twist of fate feel like MY childhood friends–even though I’ve only known them just over a year, and haven’t seen them since. That’s the spectacular thing about Sean and Kellin (and everyone they surround themselves with)–they make you feel like you belong, completely. I don’t care who you are, they’ll make you feel like family. I felt as much like a guest at their wedding as I did their photographer. ABSOLUTE acceptance and inclusion–Sean and Kellin are absolutely gracious and full of love, through and through. xo! you two crazy lovebirds, X.O!

How do I introduce a couple like Emory and Alison? There really is no way I can think of. . . . No words to explain their generosity, grace, passion for one another, intense love for their friends and family. I’ve no way to articulate the way that even as strangers, when you’re with them, you hope you’ll be friends forever. And really, I hope we will. Emory and Alison, a million congratulations and then a million more. You truly are made for each other. Namaste and aloooooha! I love you! Enjoy!

And ummmm. . . there are a lot of images. You might want to, I don’t know, grab a sandwich or something. ;)

How could you not drool over these next two? LOVE.

I loved Alison’s relationship with her sweet brother. They reminded me so much of Gavin and I. . .

I’m so in love with this next series. I wish they were my family so I could justify framing them in my home! These images just make me SO HAPPY!

I love this next shot by Alisa*; it might actually be my very favorite of the day. There’s so much beauty and truth here. I feel like I could reach out and touch it.

Alisa also shot these next two flower shots as well. LOVE THEM. Just a side not, having a RELIABLE second shooter along, is essential.  It alleviates so much of the burden of feeling like you have to be everywhere at once. A second set of eyes is worth its weight in gold, as it allows me to put my focus where it SHOULD be, on the bride and groom.

And then we PARTIED. . .

And they lived happily ever after. . . naturally.

*A HUGE, HUGE, HUGE “mahalo” to the WONDERFUL Alisa Greig for second shooting and to BFF Lindsay for keeping me sane and carrying my pretty bag. Honestly, Alisa gives photographers, friends, mothers, WOMEN IN GENERAL a good name and Lindsay, well, she’s simply irreplaceable. Truly, a bosom friend.  I love you both!

This is my beautiful sister in law, Chelsea, and her wonderful new (ish) husband, Ben. I don’t know that you could find two more exceptional people if you searched the world over. They are kind, generous, open, loving, hilarious and completely and totally mad over each other. I love you Cha Cha. Enjoy.

Below: Ben rapping to Pandora with P Diddy. . .or something like that.

I really don’t know what to say about Kit and Nichole that wouldn’t sound trite or contrived. They are honestly two of the most laid back, down to Earth. . . NORMAL people I’ve ever met. (If you know me at all, you know that “normal” is the very highest of compliments in my book.) All day long, I felt like I was simply among friends. I felt like a was a part of the wedding, not at all like I was on the outside looking in. They are the kind of kindhearted, generous, and completely hilarious friends that dreams are made of. It was a beautiful day. In every sense of the word. I feel so blessed to have been a part of their perfect Turtle Bay wedding. . .  (5 minutes from my house).

And then, we danced. And danced. And danced and danced and danced and danced.

The day was amazing. All of it. Thank you K + N for letting me be a part of your PERFECT day. xx! N
